We were able to spend a night out at kayakers Cove and were blown away by the beauty and serenity. RaeLynn and Mike have created an amazing experience to get away from it all and enjoy people from all over the world. The hiking and kayaking was a perfect balance of Adventure with the day ending in the coolest sauna. We highly recommend staying at kayakers Cove and plan on returning!

Thank you Michelle. We agree it’s so nice to visit with world travelers and locals alike whether it’s ‘round the campfire or our table that accommodates 12 comfortably. See you again one day!

Thank you, John. We so appreciate return guests that want to share the Cove with friends and family. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. See you again soon!

I am an alaskan who makes it a point to book at least one trip a summer out to Kayaker's Cove. My husband and I love the dramatic setting on Resurrection Peninsula, the access it provides to wonderful sea kayaking and outdoor exploration, the warmth and friendliness of the hosts, the charm and simplicity of the accommodations, and affordability. We do a lot of camping as well, but really appreciate having a dry, warm and comfortable place to relax in coastal wilderness. I have worked for years as sea kayak guide, and this area offers some of the best scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities out there. It is a place not to miss if you like a mix of comfort and adventure. A great spot for my husband and I to celebrate our one year anniversary!

Thank you, Justine! We’re so glad you enjoyed your visit his year. Quite often it can be stormy and windy closer to town and glassy calm kayaking out here. And just a couple days ago humpbacks were surfacing nearby our guests as they traveled past. Some things you just never get tired of. See you next time.

This lovely rustic, remote hostel sits on a west facing rocky cove surrounded by temperate rain forest. I live in Alaska and when friends come to visit, I always try to take them to Kayaker's cove even for an evening.
It is a place to meet new friends, relax and unplug. In 2017 there was no cellular service (hope it stays that way) and there is no electricity. Bring your food in a cooler stocked with ice, some folding chairs to sit on the beach, wood to stoke the beach fire or sauna, a good book, your own sleeping bag and a friendly helpful attitude. There is a great hike from the cove ~ it is fairly technical and challenging but worth the trip. My 12 year old niece made the hike round trip in less than 4 hours on a super hot sunny day.

I love this place. The location is magical... It is located in a beautiful forest full of all types of moss, lichen, ferns, etc. Clear water with great tide pooling. The main cabin is a great place to relax and watch the hummingbirds or meet great new friends. You can not stay in Seward and have access to this type of wilderness for cheaper.

Thanks for the review. As well as being able to book the whole place for exclusive groups, Kayakers Cove is a great place to meet new people, in a shared environment as well. We do try to keep the prices affordable, so more people can come out and enjoy what Resurrection Bay has to offer.
