Perfectly comfortable 3 star one-night stay. Room and bathroom and public spaces clean and bright and good 24 hour café/bar. Situated on the other side of the river from the old town, but walkable. Good, secure parking and friendly staff.

Actually this hotel is in Ciboure and not Saint-Jean-de-Luz, but it situated near the end of a bridge connecting Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Ciboure which are on opposite sides of the river Nivelle. Waking to the busy places of either town was easy and not very far. There was more choice of restaurants on the Saint-Jean side but there were some good ones on the Ciboure side as well.
Having visited Saint-Jean previously, parking was not easy and could be quite expensive if you had to use the undergroung car park. The Ibis hotel had a 3 storey car park which was free to its clients, saving 20/30€ in fees.

Room Tip: Views to the north, but so was the road and railway

The usual Ibis standard, not big rooms but clean nice bed and very friendly staff,
A bit of a walk into town but this beautiful town is worth walking into.
On the 5 January everything was very quite but even in the middle of winter this is a nice place .
cosy hotel bar and a very good buffet breakfast in the morning

Stayed in the Budget side of the hotel, can't deny the rooms were clean but very basic and tired. Needs a lick of paint to bring up to a reasonable standard. Not impressed by kids running up and down the corridor in the evening and being woken up by someone's dog howling who had gone down for breakfast.
Breakfast was not bad and you could help yourself.

Room Tip: Don't go in the budget side of the hotel

Superb quality for reasonable price. Nice, very quiet rooms and very helpful staff. Good breakfast in cosy bar downstairs. Well located - good for evening walks in nice area. Not far to the city , but still very quiet.

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room. Ours was behind fore doors in an extra corridor - not a sound of neighbours

Once again the Ibis comes up trumps.

Clean, friendly, comfortable hotel. It didn't have a restaurant but the Bar meals were good. Being vegetarian, we went out for a walk to see if we could find a restaurant to eat, but wasn't able to so went back to the hotel and had a lovely lasagne.

Saint Jean de Luz was a delight, will definitely go back.

It's an Ibis, so you get a comfortable bed, a hot shower, easy parking and fair value.
This one is well placed in Ciboure to cross the bridge to Saint Jean De Luz for a good selection of restaurants.

Their hotels are very consistent which is why we try to stay at them on road trips. We like to know what we're going to get before we arrive.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the railway suffer from some infrequent noise.
