We let them know 2 days ahead of time we would arrive at 1:30 and the reservation person said the room would be ready, not so. We waited on the couch for 2 hours unti nearly 4 for the room. I had been traveling for 36 hours and would have really appreciated if the receptionist would have made more of an effort. Internet was too slow to check my mail. Traffic was loud, I wore earplugs to sleep.

Love this hotel. Such a nice change from the big hotels downtown. Great value, wonderful restaurant and bar. Love the character of the hotel. Walking distance to downtown Seattle. Great food and very friendly staff!

The location for the Sorrento can’t be beat and there’s plenty of parking lots nearby. They offer free wine at happy hour and their rates are reasonable for downtown standards. But the building is a heritage building so it’s old and super dusty inside. Be wary if you’ve got allergies!

Stayed for one night. The hotel is older and feels that way. The room amenities were a bit strange- a french press for in room coffee but although I like french press coffee, this was awkward and not convenient given my business trip and need for expediency. The bed was not particularly comfortable. The front desk staff in the morning when I left were lovely though. In short, this is an adequate hotel if you are visiting Virginia Mason Medical Center one block away. But if you are visiting Seattle, this is not where you should stay.
