Our 2yo was absolutely amazed, we spent 5+ hours in the museum and he didn't want to leave. and we only made it to the old planes exhibit and the space exhibit. I love how everything in the museum is touch-and-play and there is a lot of educational stuff like the flight control centre and the weather forecasting tools.
ADULTS: there is fun for you too - you can roll into a army air-fighter simulator, like my husband did. Additional cost though.
The gift shop offered plenty of educational materials and not just souvenirs.
The place had a little cafe with quite decent food, although a bit overpriced to my opinion, the best option being fresh warm pretzels.

I was so impressed by the history and the layout of building. Keeping part of the red barn as the museum. The shuttle was fun to see. It's quite large, so plan hours to walk around.

Great selection of aircraft displays, both refurbished and reproductions. Many interactive exhibits. WWI and WW2 Full diorama rooms were inspiring. Listened to one of the docents who was a vet from Vietnam, describing Chopper landings and retrieval in a Hot L-Z. wow! Respect. Cafe stocks sandwiches and Adult liquid refreshments. Purchased the three site ticket ( museum of flight, space needle, Chilluly Glass museum)-was worth it.

The Museum of Flight was one of the coolest things I got to do in Seattle. It is so impressive that humans go from gliding to space travel in less than 70 years, and the museum documents this well. There are some amazing examples of how dedicated and extraordinary humanity is when we work together. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to check it out, there is a lot to see.
