We have been twice with twins who are 5 & another child who is 8...we want them to attend! It was fun and we learned a lot. Only lasts about an hour. You walk through the campus. So make sure if you bring children, they can "make it." I would not recommend strollers. You go into several buildings and tour the grounds. The tour guides are great at answering questions. If you are older and cannot walk well, I would not recommend this either . Some of the weekends at some hours it is hard to find a public restroom to get to "quick", so go before you get there!

Great place to visit in April when the Cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

I'm sure I'm a bit prejudiced, (I grew up in Seattle and attended UW), but having seen many campuses throughout the U.S., I will stick my neck out and say that this is one of the most gorgeous campuses in the country. The gothic architecture of the older buildings is stunning. When the cherry trees bloom in the Spring, it is more than beautiful. And on a sunny day, the view from the quad, past Drumheller Fountain, to the south with Mt. Rainier in the background, is nothing short of breathtaking.

Walking the campus is fascinating any season - the architecture, landscaping, fountain, vistas, herb garden, Suzzalo Library, museums.

Very spread out campus - but much is tree lined and pleasant to walk around.
