My husband and I stayed on the third-floor #5 apartment 8/11 thru 8/13/14 with our 12- and 14-yr olds. We loved it--it was perfect for us! The modern, tastefully-appointed apartment is flooded with natural light from large, strategically placed skylights that take in the view of the city. We've found that eating "out" while traveling as a family gets old and unhealthy, so it was great to have a Trader Joe's so close (a few blocks away) and a fully-stocked, modern, impeccably clean kitchen. The four of us dined on the patio most mornings and evenings. Having a washer and dryer makes traveling with a family so much more convenient!
NOTE: If your visit falls on a hot summer day, you will enjoy your visit more if you come with proper expectations. Your bedrooms will be deliciously cool, even cold if you like, due to the swamp coolers. However, the apartment at large might climb into the 90s during the day, as the screened windows are permanently blocked open during the summer. 8/11 was a 92-degree day and the apartment reached the mid-90s. Not a big deal for us...we just ate out on the patio and we were gone during the worse heat of the day. Sleeping in the cold bedrooms was ideal. We would be very happy to book the Seattle Turret House again and highly recommend it to others.
