“To much noise, buildings, no wildlife!”

Reviewed August 16, 2017

We rented a tandem bike from Downtownbikes and decided not to take the Tony Knowles bike trail since everybody was sent that way(and indeed it was very crowded when we took it for the first mile before we reached our trail.)We went for the Campbell creek trail. We asked for directions, got a map and went off. In the beginning it looked nice, but after crossing 3 highways the trail bended and we crossed the same highways again. No feeling of being in the nature at all, only a lot of noise and many buildings, no wildlife at all. When we reached the university area the signs were gone and it was very hard to find the right directions.
Don't take this trail! Waist of time!

This trail is awesome for runners, walkers, cyclists, etc. It is very well maintained, and runs through the city of Anchorage. We did not see salmon in the creek yet, but later in the season there will be some.

The trail is connected without needing to cross the street except one time by Lake Otis. It goes right through the city but it feels like you are in the woods riding. There are moose, ducks, geese, lakes, creeks, and great scenery all around in May. Close to UAA and the Hospital you can connect to other trails as well which allows us to go ride all the time and mix up our routes. It's a great part of living in Anchorage is the trail system. The only drawback is there are some sketchy people hanging out on parts of it.

The Campbell Creek Trail is awesome. You get to see beautiful scenery as you wind along the Campbell creek. Moose frequent the area, as well as joggers, cyclists, walkers and families out for a stroll in the woods.

This wonderful trail is located a short distance from the Alaska Wildberry product factory. It is very nice to walk and cycle in a quiet setting with a creek next to it. You wouldnot think that you are in a city.
