Description: Lovely secret location, in an old townhouse, on the banks of the Sorgue. Waterfront wine bar with flower-filled internal courtyard for summer dining or fireplace for the winter, with exposed stone décor and unique, intimate atmosphere. Cosy and luxury comfortable rooms

The staff was friendly and worked with our limited English. Although reservations were recommended, there was ample seating, especially inside when we walked in. I get the feeling this may have been an institution that has lately begun to slip. The courtyard looked like a lovely place to eat, and we had our digestif in the area inside where the river flows under the building. It was clean and pleasant so your surroundings are charming but we eat out primarily for the food. The complementary appetizers were a little puzzling- a bit of melted cheese on a bread stick, a dab of mashed potatoes baked as a finger food and something else. Not good. We asked for the chef's choice menu at 60 euros. The terrine was fine, the scallops on risotto with squid ink was delicious, the lamb was good, the cheese course was fine, and dessert was fine. A good wine selection. Service was a little bit of tag team roundabout but we were mostly taken care of. There was a large group in the dining room that may have affected things but overall, I would not do this meal again. For 30 euros less we had a stellar meal at Carre de l'Herbes. Maybe our expectations were too high for the chef's choice menu and again, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. Not a total loss but this is the meal I wish I had a do over on.

Lovely location in the centre of the island with a lovely internal courtyard. Good service and very nice wines. Food was good - all very delicate and (with exception of dessert) not very big portions - and very nicely served. Highlights were scallops in black ink and two-types-of white chocolate dessert. Main course of lamb was tasty but not much lamb and rather overpowered by tomato. Good, but not great as quite expensive

We were recommended this place and booked a table last minute. They were able to accommodate us and even offer a vegetarian menu for me. The food was delicious and the service spot on. I give it 4 stars because the dessert wasn't matching in quality, taste and presentation the rest of the menu. Overall, a great place to have dinner.

Sort of pricey, but it was a truffle menu, with many courses, and nicely paired wine. Kitchen sent out lots of little extra courses for me (who had ordered a measly three courses) so I could keep my husband company, eating. Food fine. Pretty atmosphere, and upscale. Good for a celebration. Canal runs under the dining area, which is unusual and effective in a decorator-water-feature way.

The staff here were really lovely, and clearly thought that what they were offereing was good. However, I'm sad to report that the food was at best mediocre. The chef really has no inspiration and the food overall lacked quality flavours, invention or interest. Dry rabbit, uninspiring veal, very average mashed potatoes. Shame, as the setting was nice.
