“beautiful presented apartment in great location”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This is a wonderful little apartment, beautifully presented & refurbished, is situated right in the heart of a v pretty town in Provence. The owners were really easy to deal with, left lots of info for us plus a beautiful welcome hamper and Eva was in the shop below ready to help with anything needed. In spite of being in the centre of town it isn't noisy at night & we all slept really well. The second bedroom is on a mezzanine level over the living room so it does impact a little on privacy so you do need to be close to those you are sharing the house with if it's not family.
The house is v well equipped, there are all the extra little things that are useful in a kitchen - salt, paper, oil, etc & WiFi generally worked well.
Parking is the one issue. On Sat night do not park anywhere inside the river boundaries & avoid the outside boundary also as the market is huge. We left our car parked by the river boundry, 4 of us checked & could see no signs against this & still got towed away cos of the market. Park in the car park behind the post office no matter what the signs say elsewhere.
There are loads of great trips within easy driving of the town. We could easily have stayed for a few weeks; one wasn't enough. It was also great value. I highly recommend it.
Thanks Eva & Niels

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this review. We loved having you stay with us. We are sorry that your car got towed and will put your recommendations in our info sheet and tell our guests not to park in the center before market days.
Kind regards,
Eva & Niels

Had a wonderful time in Le Chat Botte. It is perfectly located, quieter than you would think and has a great view. Nice and cozy. Highly recommend.

“Delightful stay in L'Isle Sur la Sorgue”
Reviewed 3 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We really enjoyed this pretty apartment in a great location in L'Isle Sur la Sorgue. My husband, adult daughter, and I were comfortable in this well-equiped home full of Provençal charm. We enjoyed being right in town feeling like a local, and the market day was great! The owners couldn't have been nicer, and the town was a great choice for exploring Provence.

Our stay at Le Chat Botte was fantastic. The apartment is very comfortable with everything you need and also very tastefully decorated. The location can't be beaten as it is in the old part of L'isle Sur La Sorgue where everything is happening including the markets. Despite all the activity the apartment is very quiet. The teenagers also loved it.

“A perfect apartment in a perfect location to explore the south of France!”
Reviewed 18 September 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My husband and I stayed at Le Chat Botte for two and a half months, from June until the middle of August. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, central location to see the south of France! The apartment is situated in the “old town” part of Isle sur la Sorgue, full of character and charm, and within a short walking distance of all amenities. I loved to wake up in the morning, open up the windows, and watch the locals strolling by to purchase their baguettes at the boulangerie just down the street. Neils and Eva have done a wonderful job of making the apartment truly feel like a ‘home away from home’, equipping it with everything you need for a short or long stay. We had guests come and stay with us while we were there, and both couples raved about the comfortable beds and beautiful linens. The twin beds in the loft were easily made into a queen sized bed. The apartment also provided some of the best people watching experiences one could hope for, particularly on market days when the street below becomes alive with the sights and smells and sounds of the market. (Noise wasn’t an issue for us; the windows provide a great sound barrier.)
We visited over 60 towns and villages during our stay, never having to drive more than an hour and a half to reach our furthest destination (the gorgeous port of Cassis on the Mediterranean), with many of the beautiful hill towns of the Luberon under a half hour away. The train station is less than a ten minute walk from the apartment but if you really want to explore and take in the beauty of the countryside, a car is a must. Parking was never an issue for us.
Niels and Eva were wonderful hosts and soon became good friends over the course of our stay. We ended up arriving much earlier in the day than was originally expected and Eva happily greeted us, stowed our luggage while the apartment was being cleaned, and had us in and settled in no time. The location of Eva’s dress shop below the apartment is a real advantage. Our time in Isle sur la Sorgue and at Le Chat Botte was everything, and much more, than we could have hoped for to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and 40 years of being together. I’m already planning a return visit for my 60th!

“You wouldn't stay anywhere else in L'Isle sur la Sorgue”

This was an excellent apartment, spacious and with almost all mod cons (no clothes dryer, but plenty of room to use the drying rack supplied). Parking is 100 metres away 6 days a week, 400 metres away on market day. There were just the two of us, so not an issue, but the second, attic-style, bedroom wouldn't really be suitable for a second couple, only for kids (but perfect for them). Highly recommended
