Cafe/restaurant is right on the rivers edge. All the tables along the river had "reserved" labels on them, which at first I could understand. But, as the evening passed, no one appeared to sit at them, so why we couldn't was bemusing.
Anyway, we had the locally caught trout, which was pretty good but pricey. The service was slow and provided by a waiter who looked like he was totally p*ssed of with life.
We went back later in our stay (in the afternoon) for a couple of drinks, and the same sour faced waiter was still there with his miserable attitude.

With a family of young children we were lucky to have a big table available. Fast and friendly service. The kids loved their fries and croque messieurs. Good quality food. Nice spot near the water. Cooling sprays very nice on a warm day. Toilet is spacious and clean.

Nicely situated along the canal. The staff tried to impress us by taking our order for 5 persons without making notes. This turned out to be a misstake as two side orders were not delivered. One of us was already served the Croque Monsieur, while the others only got their lunch 15 minutes later. The Ceasar salad had so much sauce that only one third was actually eaten. The bill was adequately corrected for the side orders. We will not return.

A Great Spot for drinks which we have used a few times over the last few years. Last night we decided to eat here with friends. We had drinks then dinner but had to do it at two different tables, its a French thing! Pleased to report that since our last visit the staff we had were much friendlier. The Food was average , despite asking for steaks to be cooked medium and medium rare it really was a lottery as to how they came out. Price was good and portions a decent size.

It was a busy Sunday market day, and it was warm! We had small children and needed a place to sit and chill. This was the place, and the staff was most accommodating. There even was a menu for the small children with ice cream for dessert. The food was quite good for a busy cafe close to the carousel and the antiques market.
