Really great place to eat. Many pricey dishes but good food, reasonable offerings, and service. I had the sirloin special tonight with twice baked potatoes. Very good peanut butter/banana cheesecake.

Thank Philip S

SO glad I made a reservation for Saturday dinner. Would have had a wait otherwise. Despite the busy night and a sign on the door seeking full time wait staff, our service was good - and pleasant. The food was a mixed bag. I still have rosy thoughts of the escargot, but the cioppino was disappointing. Most of the mussels didn't ope. The little clams were overcooked and almost like little rocks. The fish was overcooked as well and hard to cut. My husband's steak was outstanding but his mother's crab cakes tasted like breadcrumbs, not crab.

Thank Linda S

Used to be a good restaurant, but food was just ordinary, service kind of slow. Perhaps management/owners changed, but just not up to par. Would not recommend,
And, Raspberry jam does NOT go with salmon. (Who thought of that??)

I ordered the gorgonzola rib eye described in the menu as smother in sautéed mushrooms and onions toped with cheese, when it came it was smothered in gravy, there was no sauté the CANNED mushrooms were cooked along with the grave=y and the steak was not seasoned at all. My boyfriend had filet mignon, this was severed with a side of brown gravy and was tasteless as well, his twice baked potatoes tasted like a gooy mash of nothingness. The crab legs were very fishy smelling, the teased and texture were way off. The only thing amazing about this place was the bill, outrageous!!! and its not on a lake it on a pond around a housing development in the middle of town !!!!!

just had a terrific lunch at Charlie's on the Lake. Just came back from Florida and missed the grouper- saw it on their menu at it was just as good as some I ate in FLA.
I ordered the blackened Grouper for lunch which came with rice. Food arrived very quickly and wow was it good.
Not sure who else serves real grouper in town but if you are looking for some give this place a try - you won't be disappointed.
