I went to the Office in September, and it was undergoing renovation and was closed. It is, however, very historic, so it is worth a look if you are in Springfield.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the inside of the building it was being renovated but the outer shell of the building remains and it's in great shape and must have gone through restoration also at some point. Outside is a statue with the Lincoln family hanging out waiting for Abe to go give a speech at the old state house. Nice picture spot, but not much else to see.

We could not go inside but got to read the informational plaques and get pictures. It is right across the street from the Old State Capitol. A definite must if you are a Lincoln buff.

The law office has been closed for awhile, but it is still worth going to visit. It is near the old state capitol and Lincoln square.

We visited this site years ago and found it fascinating--including the old post office. The site has been closed for restoration and we were told it was open. This was not the case and out grandchildren had to go away with the ideas they had of the law office from the Lincoln museum.
