I could look in the windows and see some of the displays. I'm sure it would have been interesting to tour. It was nice to see where Lincoln practiced law, even if I couldn't get in the building. Across the street from the Old State Capitol building.

This site is currently being renovated, as of October 2017, but it is still nice to see the building where Abraham Lincoln worked as a lawyer. You can drive by it and see the building and beautiful bronze statue of Lincoln and his family, or park outside the Old State Capitol and visit both sites at the same time. A great chance to get a picture of Lincoln's life in Springfield. I recommends!

Very short walking distance from the Old State Capitol so you don't have to move your car. Small but just as it was in Lincoln's day. Caretaker that was working the day we went was full of knowledge and interesting facts about Lincoln and Herndon. Just down the street a 1/2 block is a great little place to get great homemade sandwiches and soup, wish I could remember the name. So convenient when walking around this area of Springfield.

I went to the Office in September, and it was undergoing renovation and was closed. It is, however, very historic, so it is worth a look if you are in Springfield.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the inside of the building it was being renovated but the outer shell of the building remains and it's in great shape and must have gone through restoration also at some point. Outside is a statue with the Lincoln family hanging out waiting for Abe to go give a speech at the old state house. Nice picture spot, but not much else to see.
