Lots of Route 66 memorabilia covered the inside of the hotel and conference centre. The outdoor swimming pool was great. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The only issues we had was that except for vending machines, there was no food available to be bought on site until 11 am and that the bedroom walls must have been thin because we heard a lot of noise from outside.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Had to change rooms 3 times because of dirt, smell and a broken/bent metal door (the main door to the room). None of the staff could answer any questions and the manager was obviously overwhelmed with work because she was the only one who could help the 30+ people checking in with issues! Don't do it. Go somewhere else

Dear Spacy1kc,

Congratulations on your monumental achievement at staying at the worst hotel ever. For the record, there is no such thing as the "worst hotel ever." That is some made up thing you say in the media. We at no point had 30 guests check in at one time. NOW that would be a record. We have contacted the guiness book of world records. Our manager was also nominated for best GM in the USA for 2018. You are fortunate to have been in her presence. We hope you give us a second chance. If not, there are 7 billion people in the world who will stay with us.

Stay Blessed.

We stopped here on our old Route 66 trip. This was one of the worst places that we have stayed in. It was advertised in our guide book as being a "must stop" however, I recommend finding another place to stay in Springfield. The room had a musty smell, the floor was filthy, and there was mold in the shower. There was even a broken lamp lying on the floor. There is no elevator to the second floor, and there are no amenities such as breakfast that is offered by other motels. The staff was not helpful or friendly.

Richard,

First we have the utmost respect for our lamps and would never have them on the floor. We were graded by Sangamon county as the best conditioned rooms in the area. Your descriptions are not factual and hurts. Our staff is always smiling and helpful. We are not sure what you experienced. There are 7 billion people in the world. We will have other guests come in.

Stay blessed.

New to the Midwest and visiting. We stopped by and a young man with a beard helped us get navigated around the city with Uber and Lyft( first time user) We joked about tourist not knowing anything. We enjoyed the pool. The staff was pleasant. Bella, Jodi and brian are who we dealt with. Can’t wait to visit next year when they have breakfast!
