My husband and I stayed here for 10 days. Alfredo and his daughter Sonya couldn't do enough for you. Rooms immaculate. Restaurant/Bar/Pool area lovely. Food excellent. Staff all very attentive. Mainly Italian and German guests. Alfredo and Sonya speak good English. Evening meals excellent and very varied. The resort itself fairly quiet, no bars as such to go to. A few very good restaurants within walking distance. Especially Acquolina, which was fabulous. I'd advise making a reservation as very busy. Beach within walking distance but fairly small. We hired a car and visited other beaches. I would recommend the boat trip. Stunning waters and spectacular visit to the caves. Overall an amazing holiday.

We spent three nights here. We really enjoyed our stay. The family was very kind and working hard to deliver the best service. Excellent coffee at breakfast: the best we had in our holiday in Sardinia. Very clean throughout. Nice swimming pool. You can get deckchairs, parasole etc from the hotel for free. Just a few minutes drive from the beach and the port where it is easy to park. They also recommended a motor boat rental: Marea, which was fantastic. Bravi!

We had 5 days in this cosy family hotel in the quiet East of Sardinia. We rate it very highly. Most guests were German, Swiss or Austrian and many were repeat guests. This is a family-run hotel of exactly the ideal type I look for. Personal attention, detail, hospitality and quality.
We had a cool and comfortable room with a balcony over the main road but silent at night due to the windows. We loved the beach equipment you could borrow each day such as parasols, beach mats, games and inflatables. Such a lovely touch.
Breakfast was rich ( as the Germans say) with sometimes a home made veg tarte or warm boiled eggs and always plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt and warm pastries. Coffees of choice to order.
The family are amazing and give guests personal attention. The evening meals were very good value and especially the Cena Sardo with roast piglet on the barbecue and copious local produce. There are super local restaurants like Arbaratsar and excellent beaches locally in the walkable Porto Frailis and slightly further afield in Lido di Orri. We rated these beaches higher than those of the windy, crowded, fashionable North.
Arbatax is a working town with low key tourism and ticks my box for being a hidden corner of the Med with good food, good beaches and low crowds even in August. This hotel is indeed a pearl and we recommend this strongly.

First time we visited Sardinia and we have chosen ‚La Perla‘ because of it’s great location close to the sea. The hotel is wonderful and I only can confirm the other guests posts here on TripAdvisor. Indeed Alfredo and Mario speak German, the other staff speaks English and of course Italien. During our stay we enjoyed three times the restaurant and were very happy with the quality of the dishes. There are a couple of restaurants around, which are really good too.

We‘ll come back!

We found this by chance, having found nothing to suit at the nearby sea town.
Really nice room with a balcony overlooking the garden & a side road.
All the staff were really helpful and friendly and it had the feeling of a family run hotel.
We had dinner both nights, good menu ,well cooked and they cooked something not on the menu for my wife, thanks for that.Breakfast was also very good.
Having nothing but praise for our stay & very reasonably priced for such a nice hotel.
Would go again if ever in that area

Room tip: On side road and we had no noise issues, not sure if there are other rooms off road
