this the 2nd time we stayed here and each visit was great. The room setup is a little strange in that the sink is outside of the bathroom because the bathroom is very small. We will definitly be coming back in September.

My room smelled like a stale cigarette and if we didn't leave the exhaust fan on in the bathroom we would had need to leave the hotel, not sure if this hotel had smoking or not smoking but it needs to change how it sell room to non smokers

Hi 968djackson,

I was disappointed to hear about your experience at our hotel. I can assure you this is not a norm for us as we are a non-smoking hotel. It is my hope that you give us another opportunity to be of service to you in the future.

We are here for three nights, and the hotel is full. While the room is well appointed, and the entire hotel looks new or renovated, it suffers from a few really troubling problems.
First, the wifi is all but useless. Yes, its there and the signal is strong but the speed, at 1.52 download this morning is all but useless for anything but text messages. Emails don't load, and I could not possibly imagine doing any kind of business with that speed. It was so bad on Friday night--about half that speed--that my Roku would not even work. What I did--and am doing--is turning my phone into a hotspot over the T-Mobile cell network, and connecting my laptop to that. The T-Mobile LTE speed here is 7.75 download--that's FIVE TIMES FASTER THAN the hotel's Wifi. My email would not even load at the hotel speed. Then, the breakfast. In concept it was OK--nice selection and all, but they are ill staffed to handle a crowd. Friday morning was OK; Saturday AM they were out of everything and we had to go begging for utensils, coffee, etc. Kitchen staff was nowhere to be found. When the front desk brought out replacement coffee, it was so weak as to be undrinkable. We went to Starbucks around the corner. Sunday was a little better but still, running out of everything making breakfast stressful. Despite a large widescreen TV, the only broadcast channels are in analog (seriously? it's 2018!), and the only major network is ABC; NBC and CBS are not in the lineup. They have an interesting panel where the TV inputs are easily accessible from the desk, but they don't work! I had to go to the back of the TV anyway to put in the Roku. Why have this stuff if it doesn't work? The room is fine, but it could use a bit more maintenance. Faucet handles wobble and may soon fall off; lots of dust around the bathroom vent fan, hasn't been cleaned in some time. Water pressure so-so in the shower. The mattress was really way too soft. Maybe that's preference but it's the softest hotel mattress I've seen in a long time. Oh, and the A/C unit wouldn't turn on either...

Room Tip: If you don't need a handicap room (our was one) don't take one.

Right off the Powhite Parkway, it gives the peace and quiet one needs on a vacation to recover from the days activity. The breakfast (included) is unbelievably varied and tasty... with the late night bar and snacks a nice touch!

Large, spacious suite style room with separate living room type set-up. Very clean with nice modern decor (loved the tile work in the shower. Closet was small, but fine for one person on a short stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gym is In another building, which is not convenient. Best feature is buffet breakfast, which beats any free hotel breakfast out there!
