I've been here multiple times either for brunch with a group of couples, or lunch with the girls. Each time the service and food quality is first class. While the menu has multiple options for apps, salads and entree's, I would not go so far as to to say the menu is extensive. But it does offer a good variety. And if you want to alter your entree in some way (i.e. hold the bacon), they are always happy to accommodate. In addition, they offer a nice variety of wine by the glass, and also some fun themed cocktails (usually tied to a current exhibit). The views are great, and they do have a small area of tables that are outdoors if you prefer to dine alfresco. The dining area while not huge, the tables are far enough apart so you don't feel as if you are part of your neighbors dinner conversation. In addition, if you happen to be a VMFA member they do offer a small discount for members. After you finish your meal, you can always stroll the exhibits, or stop by the VMFA gift shop. And finally, I would encourage you to always make resies. I've been surprised at how busy they are in the middle of the week for lunch.
