Good to get away from the touristy areas and relax up on the high level. Great views all round on a clear day.

we wanted to do this, but couldn't get info from thetourist office (out of season) but the starting point is easy to find, roman road signposted, and the walk is clearly marked. the information boards are really good and we throughly enjoyed it. the woodlands are really nice as well and worth just wandering through. there are several places you head off to see things and then come back on yourself to continue, but all is well posted. we had a really pleasant and informative morning doing this trail and highly recommend it. the uphill at the start is strenuous but worth it.

Not for the heat of Summer but ideal in Spring/Autumn.
Take a light rain coat as showers are regular at this time.
