Food was good years ago and probably still is. They used to have music on Friday and Sat. nights but don't know if they still do.
We don't have music in Carmello's but we do have entertainment in our sister restaurant Monza right next door.
We were early on a Sunday, about 6pm, and there was only one other table. The service was very attentive and helpful. I would have liked to see more than one vegetarian item on the menu, and someone ought to tell the chef that real vegetarians don't eat fish, so please don't label that vegetarian! It might be better to separate the menu items into categories like "vegetarian, beef, lamb, fish, game." The table behind us ordered the rabbit and I was a bit horrified! The appetizers are also almost all meat or seafood laden.
The waiter/coat-check young man was very helpful and we started with a glass of complimentary prosecco. The service was, as I said, very helpful and I'm glad we finally were in Manassas to try this Portuguese/Italian restaurant. Be ready to pay at least $30/person without appetizers or drinks. Throw those in and you will easily spend $50/person.
Thank you we appreciate your feedback! Please check out our Spring menu we have a few new vegetarian choices that may please you.
My friends and I know we will always have a great time at Carmelo's. Have been going there for years. Located in old Town and a fine dining experience. Plan to walk off the meal and experience days gone by
Than you for taking the time and write us a wonderful review. We appreciate it.
Enjoyed nice quiet Valentine's dinner-the day BEFORE Valentines! Had great waiter who was well informed with the menu. Our waiter, Adalid, gave helpful recommendations. Loved the homemade lobster ravioli and my husband enjoyed the pork shank over mashed potatoes and asperagus. Waiter was attentive but nonrushed. Our order was accurate. Liked the quiet atmosphere - which allowed for conversation. Sensed there were many repeat customers as restaurant has been in business about 30 years. Very extensive wine list for wine lovers! We plan to return.
Thank you! We appreciate your amazing review and your business.
