We were so surprised to see that next to the hotel is a huge park for kids and parents to have a stroll. As mentioned in earlier reviews the river Iza passes right next to that park as well. It was so nice having all those kids playing and jumping around. Riding bicycles or skate boards. We enjoyed our stroll next to the river crossing the bridge...

We parked in the free parking area and the receptionist welcomed us warmly. The room is nice and spacious as we took a junior suite. Breakfast was nice but not lots of special varieties. Waitress was very helpful though.
They have a nice outdoor restaurant which we tried. Juice was fresh and we had pizza in their restaurant but it took around 45 minutes to get it there ...was soooo slow. Pizza was average also. The waiter was nice giving us cushions.
Upon check out they were kind enough to give us a locally made Apricot jam.
I recommend this hotel for touring around the region.

The hotel has a very good location in the middle of the nature with an idyllic position.
The rooms are clean and ok. The food at the hotel's restaurant is very good and bio, that why I strongly recommend to try.
The personnel is very polite and ready to help you with whatever you need.
Most important, the owner of the Hotel, Mr. George Ofrim is there daily, from morning to evening, supervising and being very polite and friendly with the guests. From him, I find out what important touristic objectives I can visit in the neighborhood.
So I spend few wonderful days in this location, thank you Mr. Ofrim and all the best.
That means I will come back with great pleasure.

The Gradina Morii (Miller's Garden) is located beside a large city park on the banks of the Iza River. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Try to get one on the river side (facing the rear of the hotel). Decent breakfast buffet, and a spacious terrace where you can dine all three meals of the day if you wish. There is plenty of free parking. Sighetul makes a good central location from which to explore the many attractions of Maramures. This hotel is an excellent choice.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back side of the hotel - facing the river.

The hotel is situated near the river. Our room was light with a balcony and a view towards the river.
The service was excellent and the food delicious. The staff were helpful, polite and spoke English.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a balcony

The hotel is a nice one. It was a shame that the room we asked for seven months ago we did not get. So therefore, we got a room on the top floor without elevator access and high windows so you cannot see out without standing at the window. The couch in our room needs to be thrown out! It was horribly sagging onto the floor and we could not sit and watch tv on it. Carpet was quite stained. Room was hot. Wifi was spotty in our room. Breakfast was nice however, be advised that many bus tours stay here and will clear out the breakfast like they have never eaten before! Staff is very nice and the terrace and bar at the back of the property is wonderful. Since we had come here to celebrate a milestone birthday it would have been nice to have the room we requested with a balcony. Overall I would give this stay a 3.5 star. Nice, but needed some tweaking.

Room Tip: Try and get floor one or two with balcony, however, I requested it and never got it! Good Luck!
