“Extremely Rude Over the Phone”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2010

I decided not to stay at the Inman solely over a telephone conversation with the female owner. She laughed when I attempted to ask her questions and seemed less than thrilled to her from a customer. Among other things, I wouldn't recommend staying in this bed and breakfast.

Occasionally prospective guests become incensed when you tell them there is no jacuzi or working fireplace in the room that is available and/or that you can't give them a discounted rate.

Beautiful historic park literally across the street from this bed & breakfast, our morning & evening walks through this highly restored neighborhood & park were very relaxing. Excellent local restaurants and some nearby quaint shopping districts. Wonderful stay at the Inman Park B&B, quality wholesome breakfasts served up by Eleanor, gracious owner & host, who welcomed our stay and offered up keen insights and histories concerning this district and Atlanta in general. We will certainly call the Inman Park B&B for our next trip to this area.

Elenor was a lovely and interesting hostess. She was helpful and accomadating even allowing us to leave our luggage overtime the day we checked out so we could make one more trip on MARTA (to which the house was very convienent) into the city before we headed to the airport for our late afternoon flight.
The lovely old home has a authentic air of history. It reflects the many years that it has been lovingly lived in and has none of the over done over doillied decore of too many B & B's. As animal lovers we were delighted to meet her three indoor cats and even more so to find absolutly no traceof cat fur or odor in any part of the house. We will certainly return when we have occation to go back to Atlanta.

My husband and I needed a mini vacation so we chose the Woodruff House as our place to relax and enjoy the Atlanta life. Our hostess, Eleanor greeted us with a smiling face and was always at our beckon call. She will help you navigate the Atlanta area and knows the best restaurants. We also enjoyed the nice neighborhood and walking in Inman Park which is located across the street. Every morning we arose to a wonderful breakfast and having such intersting talks with Eleanor. The history of the house is so interesting and the aniques are beautiful. This home is filled with character and hospitaility. To our amazement we discovered Eleanor also has furry friends living in the house. Her cats are so beautiful and are special as they have their on part of the house they live in. Be sure to ask to see them as you will fall in love with their personalities! We are anxiously waiting for another visit to our home away from home.

I arrived at the Inman Park B&B after flying direct from Australia - some 24 hrs of travelling. I had advised the owner - Eleanor Matthews - that I would be arriving late in the evening, and Eleanor ensured I received a warm reception, including freshly brewed coffee.
Experienced long-distance travellers know the bliss of a long hot shower, and snuggling into a comfortable bed, and that's exactly what I was able to do.
Breakfast was always a lively, companionable way to start the day; nothing beats the eclectic mix of folk who prefer B&Bs.
I stayed 5 nights, and Eleanor ensured a variety of breakfast choices each morning, complete with the day's newspaper.
This gorgeous old property is in a comfortable, historic part of town, an easy walk from the MARTA train station, and the vibe of Little Five Points.
A single female traveller, I felt completely safe day and night, on the train, and walking through the Inman Park neighbourhood.
I could have stayed downtown at my conference venue, but to be frank, who wants a generic, homogenised big-hotel experience, at an inflated price, when you can have comfort, company and fun, in a stylish historic place such as the Inman Park B&B?

We had a great time at the Inman Park B and B. A beautiful house, fabulously decorated, and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The owner was so nicel She knows the city backwards and forwards and gave us excellent advice on restaurants and on getting around town. We'll be back, and we highly recommend to anyone!

My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to Atlanta, a much needed getaway. We're not huge B&B people, but decided to stay at Inman Park B&B due to it's location close to downtown and other cool intown neighborhoods. We made the right choice. The owner gave us great ideas on restaurants and shopping and our room was perfect. We walked to dinner both nights and could also walk to the MARTA station. We'll definitely stay there again on our next trip to Atlanta!
