Amazing location on the beach, plus indoor pool and spa. We had a large spacious room but it was very dated. Although advertised as a 4 star Hotel, it is Old fashioned furniture and colour. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast room, lots of choice. An amazing beach area, very unspoilt.

The hotel is modern and clean. The staff are very friendly. The Saga rep was delightful. It is situated a long way from the local town, 45 minute walk, and there are no amenities near by, apart from a lovely sandy beach. The nearest supermarket is a 35 minute walk away.
The food was very poor and not what we were led to expect. Cheap quality, poorly cooked and poorly presented. Not prepared by a professional chef.

Room tip: Top floor facing the sea was expensive but quiet.

This was my 2nd visit and I enjoyed it as much as my 1st visit. Margot and her friendly staff have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the cuisine is excellent, the wines delicious, a comfortable bedroom, all in all just perfect. I will return at sometime.

What a fab holiday watching surfers, and marvelous walking up and down beach each day. A very unspoilt region. Great hotel, nothing too much trouble. Friendly staff, Easy bus access to nearby town. A lovely family-run hotel.

Thank you very much on behalf of the whole team. At this stage of the season, we already feel a little bit tired and we appreciate it much more than any other thing in the world. We hope to see you again!

Just returned from a week's holiday at the Hotel Juan De La Cosa which had plenty of good points. The SAGA guests and the rep were extremely good company and with a sense of humour we all had a good laugh even at the failures we all encountered. This part of Spain is very scenic, natural, uncommercialized and miles from the usual tourist route. For me and others this was a wonderful bonus. The hotel is ideally situated and with attention to detail could be marvellous. As it happened the swimming pool was out of service all week long and in a week when temperatures topped the 30 degree mark. The sea may be great for surfboarding but not for swimmers, especially elderly ones. The hotel is well furnished and lounges and certainly my bedroom was extremely comfortable, although loose covers in the reception lounge were well beyond their sell by date and to me appeared to almost unhygienic. Finally the poor quality of the food really let the hotel down and I guess that's down to a very tight kitchen finance budget. Everyone was looking forward to enjoying Spanish catering but the standard fell far short of what we expected and came the subject of daily grumbling. Veal and pork that resembled neither and paella that could hardly have been cooked by a Spaniard. If only guests could have been happier in the dinning room this could have been a holiday to remember.
