Me encantó.

Hervás is a small village situated in Extremadura, in the middle Western of Spain. this ancient Spanish town features of a vintage Jewish quarter full of history. It was in 1492 when the Jewish comunity was expelled from Spain by the Spanish Catholic Kings and Hervás was not a exception. You can find in this place many things, such as streets, hotels and even food recipes related with Jewish names and with their community as well. I love this place.

It is a really nice experience to see how it was in the times of Jewish people where in Spain and discover their houses and culture.

We stopped here en route from Madrid to Caceres. This is a phenomenal city and barrio. The tourism office (http://www.turismodehervas.com/) offers a fabulous walking tour you can download to your phone in advance of your trip, and use to guide you throughout the neighborhood. Absolutely beautiful town.

Interesting old small town with a large jewish heritage. It has flavour, but unfortunatelly it is full of graffities and not very well kept.
