wonderful surprise when visiting this little town. 100% worth to visit. Lots of restaurants based on the size of the town. Lots of history and pretty houses.

Hervas is a pretty little city. But the Jewish neighbourhood is not marked well to let you know what you are seeing. While the arquitecture is interesting, it isn't all that much different than other cities in the area and so a visitor is left to wonder what makes it extra special.

On the backside of Hervas, the Jewish quarter consists of quite a few narrow streets with some shops, restaurants and bars, but not too many. Most houses are well conserved, some with lots of flowers. You get a taste of village life as it was a few centuries ago. An absolute must if in Hervás!

Me encantó.

Hervás is a small village situated in Extremadura, in the middle Western of Spain. this ancient Spanish town features of a vintage Jewish quarter full of history. It was in 1492 when the Jewish comunity was expelled from Spain by the Spanish Catholic Kings and Hervás was not a exception. You can find in this place many things, such as streets, hotels and even food recipes related with Jewish names and with their community as well. I love this place.
