The historical shrine was built in honor of the Filipino and American soldiers who fought during WWII. There is a museum where you can go around and see some memorabilia from the WWII and the Battle of Bataan and a large memorial cross located near the summit of Mt. Samat. Visiting this place made me feel proud of our very own heroes during WWII, to our soldiers, I salute you.

The place is well-maintained and is simply beautiful.

This place is the monument for our heroes for their courage that defended our families, loved ones and our country to the invading soldiers.

The roads are very inclined and narrow. Be very careful when driving upwards. Very exciting to the passengers going up.

Very good view of the province. Very windy that time. The lift is on maintenance.

I came here to salute and give credits to the soldiers who died in the war.

Steep uphill drive for almost 15-20mins going there. Your vehicle should be in tip top shape. Once there, the climbing dont stop. You can choose to ride it up more after the gate or climb up in foot.
Visit the musuem first if you opt to climb on foot.
Nice view on top.
Unfortunately the elevator going up the top of the Cross is faulty, so we end up just at the foot of it.
Prepare water, light clothes, cap or umbrella. Though there's a small store at the top.

Place is nice to have a view of the Municipalitites of Bataan. Good to see Historical replicas of Weapons and others things used during WW2

The elevator of the cross on top of the mountain is still not working for a while.
