Five of us decided to have a midday drink so sat at an outside terrace table. We then decided to have a something to eat so chose salads and potato bravas from the starter menu. The waiter brusquely pointed out that "Tapas not possible, need table for lunch at one o'clock". He wasn't to know that perhaps we were going to have lunch and were just ordering 'starters'. He was using the fact that we weren't sat at a table with a cloth on it already as his clue we weren't stopping for lunch. We did get our salads but no other dishes were allowed. Any thoughts we did have about having a full lunch were swept away by the surly attitude. Also, when we'd finished our salads (which were good), we walked out of an empty restaurant and failed to see long lines of people queuing to get in.

The restaurant was full in the terrace area, but dishes all came without frustrating delay, which was a bit of surprise at the height of the season. We had refreshing Gaspacho soups, jamon and melon, grilled squid, local Denia red prawns, grilled tuna followed by arroz a bande along with a couple of beers and a bottle of Rose.
Local red prawns (7 pieces for EUR28) were a bit of my wallet killer although I see this sought-after prawns require premium.
The stunning view is the feast for the eyes on top of tasty seafood, although our table was not that close to the best advantage. Very happy experience here, the place is quite popular for Spaniard too.

The hamburgers were served without vegetables, cheese or dressing. The entrecôte was asked to be served medium but came really rare. The paella was nothing special. Overall nothing tasted good. Service was good. Really nice view just by the sea.

My husband and I were looking for a special restaurant to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary and came across this whilst on our way back to Calpe after a day out in Denia. The choices are mainly sea food. We had the sea bass and it was cooked to perfection. Desserts were home made and delicious. Sat overlooking the sea it was a perfect location.

Nice seafood paella, also ordered a childrens burger meal which seemed slightly under cooked but nobody got ill from it. Amazing location and views. Seems popular with locals too.
