Reception - STINKS of SEWER..... an incredibly sickly smell throughout my entire stay. when challenging staff over how this will be resolved, a shrug of the shoulders, and an i don't care attitude.
Food is literally from a freezer, and confirmed by the waiting staff, dressed up to look presentable, but poorly prepared and never ate there again.
Breakfast was equally poor, a poor selection of cold meets that simply look way past there sell by date, chopped fruits that look like they were on special at the market because again of their sell by date.
good coffee, but no bins or anywhere to put your spoons, sugar and coffee wrappings... so the place is constantly having to be cleaned.. this is no 4 star Hotel
the english breakfast is quite simply an embarrassment, and have no idea what a sausage or bacon looks like.
the room is ok, nothing like the pictures, a time double room, with a balcony that is so narrow that only two small plastic garden chairs fit..
The bathroom is shocking, you take a seat on the toilet, and smack ya head on the sink, you get up off the loo and smack ya head in the sink.. there are no shelves or cupboards for your personal items, and the hotel is so cheap, that the toothbrush glasses, are glasses, there so light and plastic, that everything then falls on the floor.
cupboard doors don't open properly, and the sliding patio door, not only get jammed, squeaks so loud, you can actually hurt yourself trying to slide it open or closed....
mini bar isnt a mini bar, its a poorly powered fridge with two bottles of water.....
Reception says its 24/7 and please do not hesitate to ask them if you need anything... unless its after 10PM and you want a soft drink.. its not possible... then the staff argue with you. EVERYONE NEEDS A LESSON IN GOOD MANORS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Reception today asked me to pay in full today, i have three days left of my scheduled stay, i refused to do so as i had already paid 1000e to the hotel on my arrival. i don't think they understand fully the terms and conditions of their own employer, and refused to pay in full this morning.... the receptionist then said that i will then have to leave the hotel! In all my 30 years travel and Hotel stays, I have never been insulted so much as i have here in the Hotel Sol De Javea, and feel while i want this review to go higher up the chain, it will simply be ignored.
the POOL is more like a paddling pool, and the car parking is organised chaos....
STAY AWAY FROM SOL DE JAVEA and find elsewhere

A newly renovated hotel with the addition of a small pool. We lived in Javea so we chose this hotel mainly for its location. There aren’t many hotels in Javea so this is now a welcome addition. We only stayed 3 nights and on day 2 there was a very loud noise from the ceiling, sounded like gushing water, soon after it started dripping, then trickling down the wall. We informed reception who said they would try to get an engineer, but couldn’t get one that night. Our last night was spent replacing glasses full of water!!!! Having said this, we know it’s newly opened and they’re obviously having teething problems. Apart from this the room was very clean, fresh towels daily. We had a sea view which was beautiful. We had breakfast included in our deal, which is served between 8-11am. We went for breakfast at 10.30 one morning and there was hardly anything left, you can however order eggs, but I think you should have the same choice at any time during the breakfast service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was my birthday and they had cake sent to my room, which was a nice touch. Nice coffee machine in the room.

Stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 days with the family. It really deserves a higher rating than the 3 stars it currently has. The rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate and have a fridge in with water bottles replenished every day. The double bed was large. The hotel was recently refurbed and everything is bright, clean and modern. The pool area was lovely but again quite small. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs cooked to order. We didn't eat in the hotel otherwise as it was in easy walking distance of the beach and promenade with its numerous restaurants and bars. The hotel did appear to have a roof terrace which would make a fabulous area for sunbathing or a roof top bar given its views over the water. We were particularly grateful to the lady on reception in the day on 30th June as she was so helpful when a member of the family was unwell. She went well above and beyond what we might have expected. What an asset to the hotel team she is.
