“Perfect in a secluded valley”
Reviewed 9 January 2017 for a stay in May 2016

We had a marvelous weeks break here the cottage is very tastefully decorated throughout ,roomy, clean ,quiet, very little traffic, Very near to the larger town of Betwsycoed ( about 4 miles) but you wouldn't know it you feel delightfully cut of from the hustle and bustle of the modern world.Penmachno has just the one pub, thats all you need.
Great walks and fabulous scenery ,we had the bonus of sunny weather too.

Reviewed 2 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

What a lovely cottage and such lovely owners !
The location is great within walking distance to the local pub which serves food at the weekends and also only a short drive away to the silver fountain which serves the best food ( vegan and vegetarian options available ) ! Also great if your planning Snowdon or the local bike tracks !
The cottage has everything that you need and more ! Lovely log burner and bath and shower !

I can't wait to book my next visit xxxx

“Warm, Snug, Quiet retreat”
Reviewed 31 December 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The cottage is in the small village of Penmachno about 5 minutes from the A5 just south of Betsy-y-Coed. We have spent a few weekends at the cottage. It is always very clean, tidy and warm. The log burner just adds to the atmosphere. There is good walking opportunities directly from the cottage and it is a short drive to the Snowdonia hills and mountains. The owners are friendly, helpful and welcoming.

“Spacious nice cottage at a good location.”
Reviewed 28 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Stayed at Bryn Awel for few days beginning of Nov 2016.
A nice cottage in the beautiful Penmachno village.
The cottage is perfect for a get away to the peaceful Snowdonia.
Very reasonable price and well maintained.
Good kitchen utilities available to cook.
Spacious yet very cosy cottage especially after lighting up the fire place.
We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace after day tours.
The cottage is just few min drive from Bets-y-coed which is another very very very pretty Town (Could get most things from there as there are shops and nice restaurants to eat).
As we were there mainly to tour, most of the places we wanted to see were within drivable distance like bets-y-coed, Llanberis, Swallow falls, Llandudno, Ugly house etc. Breathtaking autumn leaves driving around. We stopped at many places to click pictures.

Definitely will come back again maybe in summers.

“Perfect location, excellent accommodation, lovely owner.”
Reviewed 17 December 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Beautiful cottage which is kept very clean. The welcome pack in the kitchen was most welcome after a Friday-night drive from the Midlands. The accommodation manages to feel spacious whilst being cosy and homely.
