We arrived in Natchez around 8pm with no advance hotel booking. Found the Hotel Vue via Hotels.com and what a great discovery it was! Check in was warm and welcoming. The public areas of the hotel were cosy and inviting.
Our room #307 was clean and quiet, with a magnificent view of the Mississippi. Great quality bedding and towels, nice toiletries and the beds were so comfortable. We did have an issue with the toilet blocking, but after calling reception they resolved the problem for us very quickly.
The only thing which we did find disappointing about our stay was the service in the lounge. Both draught beers were off. Our server was very forgetful and got one of our orders wrong despite repeating it back to us, one meal arrived separately and much later than the other two, we had to ask for cutlery and our appetisers arrived at the same time as our entrees. We were also under the impression that the complimentary southern breakfast would be cooked to order but this wasn't the case. Despite this, the selection of food items was good and the servers were amazingly friendly.
Overall, a great stay but I do think there are some issues with food service which could be ironed out to make it a perfect experience.More
