Our stay was well worth the cost as the staff insured authentic southern hospitality, the room was very upscale, the grounds were delightful, and we met some enjoyable other travelers at dinner and breakfast where the food and service were exceptional.

Beautiful BNB, 5 star service and the food was delicious. We stayed in the Saragoossa suite, it was beautiful with its own private balcony, it's on the second story (if stairs are a problem, make sure you get a downstairs unit) our building had 4 units. The grounds are beautiful & very peaceful. Breakfast is included and served in the Garden restaurant, its a made to order breakfast. 1818 is the restaurant on the grounds, food & service is excellent. This BNB is one of the best we've stayed, they made sure everything was perfect.

Stop over between New Orleans and Memphis and we were not disappointed. former plantation house and grounds you can wander around in peace.
We stayed in the former kitchen and servants building to the rear in a beautifully furnished room.
Dinner in 1818 was a great experience as was breakfast in the Garden Room the following morning.
Would recommend.

We stayed here one night on a road trip to New Orleans and so glad we chose to stay in such a peaceful setting. We were in one of the cottages in the garden which was very comfortable, comfy four poster bed,and had a porch with two rockers, lovely place to sit and watch the birds especially red cardinals. We had a bar meal in the evening, southern chicken, which was very tasty. Breakfast was delightful, the Ms Mary toast was yummy.
The staff here, and the owner, who chatted to us while we sat in courtyard, we're all very friendly and you feel you are getting more of a personal experience than in the bigger hotels. We did the tour of the house before leaving and it is with it if you have time.
Could not fault this hotel in anyway and recommend it for anyone staying in Natchez.
If you are arriving from the north then drive down the Natchez Trace Parkway, the scenery is stunning.

Stayed at this hotel for my 50th birthday celebrations and felt so totally overwhelmed with how gorgeous and peaceful it was. The house and garden setting is very romantic upon arrival we just had to walk around the grounds taking photos.

Our room, or rather suite as I think we had been upgraded, was never ending with its 4 poster bed was so comfortable. There were his and her sinks, a shower and Jacuzzi bath as well as 2 televisions and a door leading to a veranda which overlooked the scenic grounds.

Breakfast was yummy, French toast to die for and I now prefer American coffee to any other. We were truly spoiled with southern hospitality from the staff and upon talking to other guests everyone felt the same.

The tour of the main house was fascinating, a definite must if you stay even if only for a night.

We were very pleased we chose the beautiful spot in Natchez and would definately recommend The Monmouth
