The hotel locates in a nice building, has a nice view of water in front, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the stuff is smiling all the time and have us trying to help all the time. The breakfast was a very very poor breakfast, without nothing to eat. They changed us for 4 coffees 20 Canadian Dollars. We are going to stop for a breakfast.

Good place to eat lunch or dinner. Menu is limited but covers all the usual suspects (salads, appetizers, fish, meat, veggies, desserts). Service is good, and dining facility is quite pleasant. There are very few places to eat in Liverpool (especially during the off season), so this is your best bet for the area.

Apologies for this delayed review from August 19th, 2017 during our small, intimate wedding reception at Lane's Privateer Inn.
The staff at Lane's provided the perfect atmosphere for a South Shore coastal-themed wedding reception. Every detail down to the flowers, table settings , lighting & decor was on point. The food was fabulous & dietary restrictions were thoroughly noted. We enjoyed a wonderful cocktail reception followed by a sit-down dinner. Where to begin... The canapes were phenomenal, the Nova Scotia wines and whiskey were delicious. There were multiple dinner selections available including Seafood Chowder, Solomon Gundy, Caesar Salad, Surf & Turf, Seafood Linguine and Fish & Chips; most items completely sourced from Nova Scotia. The cherry on the cake (literally) was the beautiful Lemon Mousse Itailian Buttercream Wedding Cake prepared by the very talented baker, Tammy. Our families and friends cannot stop raving about the wonderful food.
Our friends from Ontario who stayed at Lane's for the weekend for their 2nd visit in Liverpool absolutely loved it and hope to return next summer.
If you are looking for a beautiful, historic Inn overlooking the Mersey River, with a kind & caring staff and a fantastic menu, Lane's is the #1 spot in Liverpool.

Had a wonderful lunch, can highly recommend the fish chowder...brilliant, and the Haddock and Berry/Goat cheese salad..all home made dressings...just perfect. Try the local brewed beer and the seating in the comfortable lounge chairs, the low Jazz music made us not wanting to leave. All moderately priced too...
