We booked for a 3 night stay. We arrived at 4 pm only to be told our room was not ready. We waited over an hour by the condo only to send my husband to find out what was happening around 5pm. The receptionist said our room was ready and gave him a key. Why the delay?? We got to our room (which is bi-leveled which they failed to tell us) and went to Black Donald's for diner. Upon our return, we began getting the kids ready for bedtime. Bathroom was well stocked but to our big surprise, the sofabed linen was old and used! This was quite disgusting. Luckily we found extra linen upstairs. We changed the sofabed and went upstairs to retire. Only to find the main bed was used, dirty and the sheets were from previous tenants. This was so unacceptable at 10pm at night. We called over several times but with no one answering. My husband trekked out to get new sheets. Upon checkout we express our concerns only to be follow with a "sorry" and blank stare. We canceled our February booking and will stay at the lodge nearby instead. At least they pride themselves on cleanliness.

My boyfriend and I visited Calabogie for a few nights over the x-mas break this year. We had heard mixed reviews but decided to give it a shot. We're so glad we did.

We're both regulars at Blue & Tremblant and were a bit apprehensive about the lack of facilities in comparison, but the atmosphere, food and service made up for that easily.
We were fortunate enough to have one of the balcony King suites and the view was magical. It overlooked the ice rink that gets totally lit up at night. It's very romantic.
It's a totally different vibe then any other resort we've been to, a little a slower, a little quieter & a lot more relaxing.

If you get the chance have a dinner at the Canthooks. The food is fantastic, and the service is great too. We ate there both nights with only one woman manning the entire place, and she still made us feel like we were at a 5-star restaurant.
Even the Black Donald Pub had great food & service despite their limited menu.

Overall it's super cute, the hills are all you need for a full day of skiing & the small town hospitality really brings it over the top. We'll definitely be returning.

We visited at the end of October which we knew would be a weird time of year but embraced it anyway. The resort and staff were very inviting and it was many of the little details that made our stay stand out. Such as the fire pit outside, the hot tub under the stars, the playground (didn't have our kids but this is always a bonus to know about), the bee hives, the insider tips that the gentlemen at the front desk gave us, to the cozy entrance way. There was a wedding being hosted onsite and not once were we disturb from this group. The view from our room was spectacular and would be made even better in the winter.

We went in the fall to go ATVing and ATVing we did on the stunning K-9 trail through the Renfrew County ATV Association who have an incredible sense of customer service when it comes to tourists new to the area.

Canthooks offered a unique menu of delicious options and the waitress was fantastic.

The air and water are clean. No planes or trains. No traffic sounds either. The hotel and timeshares are fairly new. Loved the fire places in the lodge and the outside fire in the evenings. Our timeshare also had an electric fire place. Nice touch. The main floor was quite open and lots of windows. Liked the water and the hills views. The 3rd floor was cute with the balcony. Lots of trails. The pool was warm and there is a hot tub outside. There is a small gym. So even off season you can exercise. The food was reasonably priced, tasty, fresh, and interesting. Gas and some groceries could be bought in the town nearby. We went to Diefenbunker in Carp and Perth which were enjoyable. The front staff and restaurant staff are amazing. Everyone was friendly.

We stayed at Calabogie Peaks for the Thanksgiving weekend for a wedding. We arrived at noon and our room was ready for us so we were able to check in early. The hospitality was amazing and the food was to die for. It is a beautiful location for a fall wedding for they have an island that you walk out onto by a footbridge to have the ceremony. There are BBQ's available for use as well for those that have a kitchenette in their rooms. The ski hill is behind the building so we are looking forward to going back this winter and can ski out from our room.
