Stayed at Benmiller Inn & Spa on Sat Mar 28/09. It was a last minute trip via Travel Zoo special for 1 night including breakfast for 2 for $109 + taxes. We stayed in the Ivey room which has a king size feather top bed , and sitting area, in the River Mill building (which is where the pool area is adjoining). Back in its hey day, this resort must have been quite nice and contemporary. Sadly, it just seems dated now in spite of some obvious modern amenities added. Rooms at the Gledhill house seemed nicer.
Overall, would have to say it was a nice getaway....though we were disappointed that the Hot Tub was broken, pool was cold and the sauna was a little tired. After driving 3 hours to get to the inn, that was all we looked forward to. The staff would only say it was out of order
The front desk staff were very friendly;check in and check out was efficient. We hiked one of the trails though it didn't seem well marked. The included breakfast buffet was good although the pastries seemed a tad dried out., A free upgrade to the brunch would have been a nice compensation for the unavailability of the hot tub, but if you don't ask, you don't get.More
