We only had 3 nights at The Grand Wailea but we will be back. From the moment we checked in until we left the hotel it was faultless. Amazing staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were offered an upgrade which we paid for which was excellent value for money for a family of 4.
The pools are great and expansive and even though we were there at peak season it never felt overcrowded.
Housekeeping staff were so kind and always made sure we had all the supplies we needed as we were a family of 4 sharing a room.
We will be back.

Room Tip: Upgrade to an ocean view room - it's a view to wake up to

This place is the epitome of what I’m looking for for a resort in Maui it has an amazing beach, a beautiful property with lots of different bar & dining options and the rooms are lovely. You’re greeted with a lei and they have separate checkin for Hilton honors member. As a Hilton gold member we used points to stay here and were upgraded to a ocean front room which was perfect. The room itself was large, very clean and I felt well updated. We also received $30 a day at the cafe on property which we used for their AMAZING açaí bowls each morning, sooo yummy! We are beach people and didn’t have our kids with us so we spent all day on the beach so in order to get a 1st row chairs and umbrella (which are free but you have to reserve each morning) we got in line at 7am to get our chairs, if you leave for more than 1 hour they say they will clear your stuff we went to breakfast and lunch and didn’t have a problem. There are so many pools and water slides for kids to explore as well as an adults only pool. We got sandwiches at the cafe but pool bar has food as well. This place was amazing we loved our entire stay so much and hope to come back with our kids!

This is our third trip to the Grand Wailea - the kids love the pool and the scenery is gorgeous. We decided to get family photos done this time while we are here through Pacific Dream Photography. We had an excellent experience with Amy and we love our photos. Thanks!

Also, Cafe Kula - just had the kalbi sandwich and it was the best thing I've had to eat in the past day.

Room Tip: Napua Tower is great, also garden view. Terrace view rooms show the parking deck.

We just returned from a spring break visit to the Grand Wailea Hotel in Maui.
We were on a family vacation with her sons age 15 and 17.
Although the hotel was packed full for spring break, the staff at service was amazing! They buffet breakfast was included with the room and it was a wonderful spread of various local fruits vegetables as well as your normal hot dishes (eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, waffles depending on the day)
Our sons truly enjoyed the pool and beach. We bought a boogie board and swim noodle at the local Safeway grocery store (take 5 minutes to get a Safeway card and save big on everything there!) and everyone had fun body surfing at the beach.
As I said, the service was exceptional. From check in to checkout we were treated like royalty. We would always call 10 minutes ahead of time for our car and it would be there waiting for us.
They also have a breakfast option called a GoTo bag, Where they will deliver you in entire breakfast in a reusable bag that you can take with you on various early morning excursions. This was in lieu of the normal buffet breakfast at no extra charge. It was always good with lots of food.
I definitely recommend this hotel for families as the pool is second to none for kids. I must’ve met I did enjoy it myself!
On the day of our departure, we found out that our flight was canceled off of Maui and had to stay an extra night. After talking with the front desk staff, they make sure that we had a place to stay for that night at their hotel. We certainly appreciated it.
Overall, an excellent stay. I would recommend this hotel for families as well as for active couples.
