This place has it all!!! The water is magical. Clear, clean, blue! Soft fine sand. Perfect for swimming. A few wave sizes as the tides change gives variety but you can enjoy nice deep calm water while standing. It wasn't too crowed on the 3 days we went there and you can eat at any of the hotels along the beach. There are toilets and showers over the hill too.
You can snorkel to the left or right- we saw the coral reef, fish and several turtles under and above water.
If you get a chance to do the canoe outrigger adventure offered in the morning you should absolutely do it- learn about Hawaiian culture and see some awesome wildlife.
The other beaches are trickier to get to and the water and they can be rocky.

Amazing beach that gets some surf but to too much. Sand is caramel in color with specs of black. Just beautiful. Enclosed on the sides with black lava rock that fingers into the water to create relative calm beach and great snorkeling on the sides. The bad is that its very very crowded at peak times - like Easter when we are here. Its jammed.

Very crowded beach. Resorts cram as many chairs and umbrellas as possible. Much better beaches further south.

Beautiful beach! the sand is literally golden, and the water is pretty calm and warm. Also was the most touristy beach I visited, lots of resorts off the water and on the beach water sports are available. But still definitely worth a trip, it was beautiful!!

We stayed at the Grand Wailea where Wailea Beach was our main beach, it was SO beautiful- not choppy, warm but refreshing, and there were at least 5 huge Sea turtles that came by to see what was going on, one per day (maybe even the same one each time?!) They were so gentle and cool! They just swam right along in the water where we were standing!
The best vacation/beach experience I have ever had! Great swimming beach- say hi to the fish and turtles for me, I miss them so much!
