We enjoyed the harbor view one bedroom suite. It was such a pleasant experience, the decor, the size of the siting area, bathroom and bedroom were above expectations. The pool and gym facilities were thoughtfully designed and clean. The front desk staff were always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great and plentiful. Outdoor spaces, firepit and table were also enjoyed. I would recommend the Fairfield to anyone coming to the area

Room Tip: Facing the habor on upper floors, we could watch the fishing vessels come and go from the harbor

We had a water/harbor view from our room. It was fun to see all the ships and boats and the waterfront activity. The staff was very accommodating and polite, friendy. Our room and the rest of the hotel was very clean and well kept. Breakfast (included) was several kinds of juices, apples and bananas, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, pop-in-the-microwave breakfast sandwiches and omelettes, yogurt, milk, bread/bagels/muffins, coffee/hot chocolate/tea, fruit cocktail and grapefruit sauce. Nummy cookies are served mid-afternoon. Parking was free. This location is very handy to the historic New Bedford waterfront/whaling museum, etc. But it doesn't feel like a safe area to walk around at night/in the dark. The hotel parking lot is very well lit, I just wouldn't feel safe walking from the hotel to the various nearby restaurants.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Your kind words are much appreciated by our staff. I can assure you, even though the area looks unsafe due to the construction that is going on, it is extremely safe to walk the nearby area. Also, we have a shuttle that can take our guests to the local attractions. Again, thank you for you review, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

I visited the Fairfield INN during the weekend of the half marathon in New Bedford. I have lived around the area previously and was not expecting much from New Bedford. But I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff was excellent, I think her name was Pam, but she was great. The breakfast had hot food items, and the hotel felt very safe. The gym was small but efficient and the pool area was great. Overall would recommend this one to anyone.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. We were in New Bedford for the 1/2 Marathon Race. There were 3500 runners, all hotels were full. We were early on the day of arrival, the front desk took my cell phone number to call when the room was ready. Breakfast was extremely busy, because of all the runners, the staff handled it efficently and courteously. All employees had a great"can do" friendly attitude.

I have stayed at this Fairfield Inn at least a dozen times and have found the staff to be very friendly and professional, the rooms clean and comfortable and the overall experience the best in the area. This is why I keep coming back for both business and with my family. The location is great on the waterfront and near many fab restaurants and the ferry to the Vineyard and Nantucket. Definitely the best.

Room Tip: For just a bit more you can enjoy the extra comfort and space of their suites. Ask for one that views the waterfront.
