My wife, kids and I stayed at DPNY. The first night we went off to different restaurant in the small town center -- mistake! Second night we dined at Troia, and it was VERY good. Attentive, friendly service, terrific hostess and sommelier, and the food was perfectly prepared and presented. If you are looking for a great dining experience on Ilha Bela, even if you're not at DPNY, Troia is well worth going.

We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at Troia, it was a buffet and was presented beautifully. We especially liked the setting of the restaurant, the ambience was exceptional. The caipirinhas we ordered were lacking in alcohol. Otherwise no complaints. We would return.

Lousy service, no fresh fish only farmed salmon from Chile and another imported fish. Frozen shrimp and canned tuna. I had the “Bobó de Camarão”, which came with a Luke warm rice and sort of cold shrimp mixture. The drink, overpowered by sugar, was a batida with sake and “Lima”, left half of it , undrinkable..... Cesar salad wilted and salty.... waitress needs a lot more training.... everything was super expensive but the “mandioca “ and the calamari were good.

Food and service more than excellent! The wines have a good variety of choices and prices are comparable to restaurants in Sao Paulo. Sea food is great

After eating 3 times here during my holiday, I have can confirm the restaurant cannot handle simple requests when it comes to the steak and mushroom sauce dish.
The word sauce to me indicates an element of liquid will be served to the customer with mushrooms. After receiving a cremated steak the first night without liquid to moisten the potatoes. I specially requested the mushrooms in Madeira sauce, actually came with liquid Madeira sauce. It would be impossible to be more clear in the request. Unfortunately the waiter brought the dish with the usual mushrooms lacking any liquid. I had to make another request for the liquid, as my steak went cold. When it eventually arrived it was delicious, but the food had gone cold.
