perfect spot to be in a couple trip, we enjoyed the food and and structure. Truly recommend the venue and the service. Tróia restaurant is a thing to look after. And the beach club not easy to find around.

Visited there three days last week and absolutely loved it! The place could not be more relaxing. There are super-comfortable beds everywhere. Slept like a dream in the incredible 4-poster bed in the room, then napped on the beds next to the pool under an umbrella. Napped the next day on a bed in a cabana on the beach. There are nice little bistro tables next to each of the beds, so you can order snacks and lunch. Then, when the food arrives, you can switch to the table. When you are finished, just slide back onto the bed. No need to wait around for a check. The food was delicious! The buffet breakfast included an omelette and tapioca bar, where they will custom make it. There are many fruits, meats, fish, cheeses, breads, juices, etc. I already talked about the bedside lunch service, but the dinner was the best. The restaurant Troia is very elegant and offers very high quality food and a friendly sommelier, who knew all of the wines on the extensive list. There is also a very romantic Beach Club dinner restaurant and a Japanese Sushi bar. In addition to the comfortable rooms and awesome food, the pool scene is great! There is a DJ or mix-tape playing the perfect chill music at a reasonable volume. Lastly, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Many of them speak English. Definitely will be back on next trip to Brazil!

Room Tip: The more expensive rooms give you more space and a better view.

I had great expectations considering the ads and the reviews of this property. At the end of the two nights I might say that besides the fare (BRL2,500 all-inclusive for a weekend) the stay was worthy. Rooms, restaurants, the pool and the furniture on the beach are all well maintained. Staff is usually friendly and service is good, with a few exceptions. Breakfast and lunch are quite good, with good assortment of treaties. Service at the pool and beach is fair, but prices for extras such as beverages and snacks are a little overpriced. For a couple of drinks, a bottle of water, a ceasar salad, a sushi and a squid salad a BRL350 check was presented. But overall it was a good stay mainly for couples. The hotel is located at Curral beach, which is not long, and makes the experience almost unique for the hotel patrons. Although not directly related to the hotel, going from/to Sao Paulo to the property may be challenging for a 125 mile onw-way trip . At the end of the summer season returning to Sao Paulo might take up to seven hours by car depending on traffic in the Tamoios road.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool and beach provide a quite nice view.

Beautiful hotel and we will go back but it deserves only 3 stars. The facilities are beautiful, the service is excellent and the food is of great quality. However, climate control in the suites (the AC is located almost inside the closet) is a problem and the black flies (borrachudos) are vicious. It doesn't matter how much repellent you use, the bites are going to be all over your body. There is limited cable TV and wifi. The bed is hard. Don't expect freebies of any kind. Even the coffee in your rooms will be charged. Room service is limited to non-fried foods and the drinks in the little fridge are warm at best. Five stars hotels do not have these issues. Having said that, there is nothing else of this quality in Ilabelha. My advice is not to spend extra in suites or water view rooms because you will not be in the room at all. Get the small room, save some money and enjoy this beautiful place (even with the few little issues).

We went there with high expectations to serve as our headquarter for a wedding. I really cannot understand why this hotel is so highly rated. It is certainly not in our list of best beach hotels in Brazil, not to mention Latin America.
We stayed in a "Cinco Estrelas" (Five STars) suite. Believe it or not, the room did not have a window; our first such an experience ever in a hotel. To increase the claustrophobic experience, the walls were painted in dark red. THe only way to get light into the room was opening the front door. Since our suite was in front of the main stairs, that meant that all other guests would be looking directly inside our bedroom.
The bathroom had a small window, which overlooked the main road. It also had some bizarre issues like having a low lying hanger for the bathroom carpet, but no hanger for the towels near the shower and no security bar inside it. To make things worse, the back of our room faced the main road, and there was no adequate acoustic isolation, meaning you could hear the traffic all day long. We did ask to be moved to another room, but they said that was not possible. BE AWARE, MANY OF THE ROOMS AT THIS HOTEL ARE LIKE THIS.
Service was absolutely awful. It took the beach service 30 minutes to bring us a coconut. At the restaurants, we, and other guests, were fighting with the piling up plates during the lunch buffet. At some point, a young pregnant lady, sitting with a pile of at least 10 plates decided to take action and brought her plates and ours to a side table. We asked for improvement in service; the waiter said "sorry, I am alone", and left.
Food was regular, absolutely nothing especial. There were aromatizers in the middle of the buffet's food, which was not only annoying, but potentially dangerous and unhealthy.
Wi-Fi connection was slow; no way to download videos.
Twenty minutes to check-in and 20 minutes to check-out. Worse check-in/out ever.
The beach was small, crowded, with yellowish sand. There was a sewer exit immediately in front of the hotel, with an extremelly bad smell coming out of it. THe hotel is located facing the cannal between the island and the continent. Huge cargo ships could be seen travelling there. Not the most romantic sight from our perspective.
This hotel does not offer you privacy and silence, and is substandard in many ways. Avoid this place.

Room Tip: Avoid this place!
