Amber Lodge Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed 14 May 2017 via mobile

We had a wonderful stay, both Rosie and Luki made us feel at home! Rosie provided us with some great advise regarding dining suggestions and ensured that the fire was kept on so the house was warm and welcoming when we returned. We had a wonderful cooked breakfast the next morning and had wonderful conversation. I would highly recommend this place and have already recommended it to some people I recently spoke to!

What a lovely stay we had with Rosie and Luki - the cutest dog! Loved the fireplace and the port. Great location. Wonderful welcome. Best beds. And the breakfast choices were amazing! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Mt Tamborine at Amber Lodge B & B. We were warmly welcomed by Rosie and her adorable dogs, then later met her husband Pat. We were well situated at one end of the Gallery Walk to leisurely stroll and check out all the shops with a stop at the far end for some ale tasting at the brewery before strolling back home past the distillery for some liqueur tasting and to choose a spot for dinner.

Our room was fantastic, very clean, with tea & coffee and a fridge with fresh milk. We both had a great sleep in a very comfy bed in the 'Regency Room'. The shower also had great pressure for a nice hot wash after a hike along Witches Chase. Pat invited us to sit at the fire in their lounge room with a lovely glass of red wine in the evening, and Rosie made a great breakfast each morning.

We are hoping to get back to stay again and do some wine tasting in the area. Highly recommend Amber Lodge B&B!

Room Tip: The Regency Room was large and spacious

What a lovely place to stay, our host Rosie and Pat made us very comfortable and we felt very welcomed by them and there dogs Luki and Winston. Only a few steps away from Gallery Walk which has restaurants and plenty of interesting shops.

Amber Lodge is run by an exceptionally welcoming and pleasant host, Rosie and her faithful companion Luki. If you're not a pet person, well, that's your loss. Coming in to an immaculately clean house, welcomed by Rosie and Luki is just a wonderfully comfortable feeling. Exactly what you want on a weekend break.

The cottage atmosphere is quiet, functional and pleasant. The garden is quite relaxing and a functional vege patch. Some may find reason to draw attention to the decor, it's a little dated, but you're not looking at that when enjoying being on a weekend escape.

The room is very spacious and conveniently furnished. The Regency room had a queen bed and a day bed/lounge, which is the little extra for that room. Perfect for a slothful afternoon. There is room enough to bring food back to your room for a night in, or breakfast in your room. The breakfast dining room is a little cozy, so it's a great opportunity to talk to the other guests to hear how they have enjoyed the stop over. The breakfast is excellent, with a very good choice of options, cooked or Continental. Just a great start to your day.

The location is great for North Tambourine and about a 5 minute drive to Tambourine Village. A great spot to base yourself for a weekend retreat or a simple evening get away from Brisbane or elsewhere.

Room Tip: Regency room has an day bed, for either one more, or a good afternoon nap!

We spent just the one night at Amber Lodge B&B and would highly recommend this accommodation. Rosie welcomed us on our arrival showed us to our room and advised on local restaurants if we planned to eat out-the restaurants are a short walk from the accommodation-no need to drive. The room was a good size with ensuite, comfortable bed, comfy sitting chairs and a little dinning space and the bonus of a microwave, tea, coffee facilities a small fridge and full dining equipment for 2.
Breakfast had a huge variety and we both enjoyed our hot tasty breakfast.
Amber Lodge is central to so many attractions and walking distance to others.

Room Tip: We had the Chelsea room it was cosy

We stayed a night at Amber Lodge and enjoyed the experience. We arrived to a very warm welcome, and relaxed in our room until we headed out to dinner. The room was well appointed with tea/coffee, microwave, port and chocolates. We never received the wifi password, but also never asked and It wasn't in the compendium. Breakfast was timely, plentiful and delicious. Small dining room, so you need to be prepared to chat to other guests and the lovely hosts. Easy walk to gallery walk, and access to everything across the mountain.
