The boat house tavern has come along way from just being a tradie bar with naked girls. The waterfire restaurant has become a very nice place for family to visit and enjoy. There is even a jumping castle for the kids .
However there are still 2 main problems.
1) is the price the meals are definitely not priced as pub meals. But the quality of food was excellent
2) you still get the tradies down the other end of the venue which can get a bit pull on sometimes.

Over all I would say it's worth going to and enjoy the outdoor dining area but don't go there if you try to eat cheap.

We went to Waterfire for a birthday celebration lunch with 8 adults and 6 children. I was abit apprehensive about going here because of some bad reviews but we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was good and the food was terrific with very generous portions and it also came out very quickly. We had a large variety of meals including fish, steak, ribs, calamari and salads all dishes were very well cooked and extremely tasty. The staff were freindly and mostly helpful the only negative was i waited at the bar for quite a while to be served while the bar tenders were having a lenghty conversation and she seemed a little annoyed when she had to actually come and serve me otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience dining here

Good menu and a great selection of different dishes at a good price. The outdoor setting is great only drawback os the traffic noise of the freeway but its not too bad. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the fiod was great.

Every time we have been there they had a singer that was very loud. been about 5 times and had to move several times away from music as we couldn't hear ourselves talking.

Food specials was good to entice patrons, food average grub and what to expect at a tavern and understand you pay for what you get. Service was very slow, one dish took so long they offered up a free glass of wine for the person waiting, which was a nice thought for the mess up. Venue is lovely and attracts a lot for lunch with the special $10 meals. Would return despite it wasn't the greatest food
