A great place with gorgeous views! We stopped for lunch and it was worth every penny! Wine recommended was delicious and the meals weren't overpriced at all! Corn fritters are amazing!!!
Only down point was having only one soft drink in stock

My friend booked us to go here for a little wine tasting. The views were amazing! We got our 5 different wine samples with a paper with the wine description. I was disappointed as they just left us to it. I would of liked the staff to talk to us about the wines. We ordered our food, it took a long time for it to come, we were getting very hungry!! It finally came and everything taste very nice!! A little disappointed with the staff!

Our visit here was a side trip while camping for several days at Matai Bay DOC campsite. We (6 adults) were all blown away by the spectacular views! I personally prefer this winery's view over the overly manicured gardens and cityscape views of famous Waiheke wineries. We tried the 5 wine sampler for $15 which is quite generous as we were able to share it amongst the 6 of us. We are not wine connoisseurs though, so a tiny sip is enough for us. Our beautiful waitress Leab was kind enough to offer us a bit of more detailed info about their wines. We ordered coffee and some baked goods. The chocolate cake is a bit dry to my liking but everyone was happy with their coffee. Service was definitely a 10 out of 10. I would love to come back again!

Just went with a friend for couple of winies ordered a simple cheese platter (that doesn't require any cooking) and had to wait for an hour and forty five minutes, meanwhile the table that came after us got ALL the food first. It's insane!

Dear Jean,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. Sincere apologies for the bad service you received, we agree it was inexcusable.
We have had issues with service and kitchen staff over the Holiday Weekend due to different issues. During this year’s off season we hope to resolve all these issues by putting new measures in place before we re-open for Labor Weekend.
We do hope you will give us another chance and the manager will see to that everything is in order on your next visit. we look forward to welcoming you back then.

Kind regards,
Kate, Receptionist

We have been to Karikari Estate many times and for many reasons -- sometimes just for wine tasting / purchasing (they are a winery that does food, too); sometimes for lunch half-way through a round of golf (they are affiliated to the Carrington Resort just down the hill, sometimes just to bring friends / visitors up for a coffee or glass of wine to look at the stunning from up on their hill, and sometimes for a pizza evening (which are consistently yummy. Our most-recent trip was to attend an afternoon wedding on the front lawn, with delicious food and drink.
