The room was perfect. We spoke with Kimpton reservations to re-confirm our stay and in my notes upon first making the reservation I let them know it was the last night of our honeymoon - they left a very sweet note, a chilled bottle of champagne with two champagne flutes and two delicious sparkling bottles of water! We ate dinner in their restaurant and although a bit overpriced, if we're being honest, the ambience and service was good which made the evening quite nice. We decided to self park in the public parking deck behind the hotel since we were only staying one night - $20.00 for right at 24 hours. Highly recommend staying here if you're in SLC for any reason!

We stayed for two night with our children at the end of our 10 day yellowstone/grand teton trip. It was nice to stay in a luxury hotel. The lobby is very nice with coffee, water, complimentary happy hour (we missed it). The room was clean and spacious and well decorated. I did not love paying for parking as a guest.

We stayed here on the night of our wedding! The staff was great and we even got champagne and chocolates! The room was exceptionally clean and had a great view of downtown Salt Lake. The decor throughout the hotel is also very fun. You definitely feel like you are staying somewhere nice. I will definitely stay again!

Stayed here while at a business conference and I stayed nearly 10 days.

Pro:
-Location is downtown and a block from the convention center. Great access to all things downtown.
-The area safe overall and I saw no problems. Salt Lake City has a homeless problem but they were never overly aggressive.
-Staff was incredibly attentive. Front desk went over the top in helping us out and the maid staff was pleasant and did little things for the room to keep it fresh. A major plus here.
-There was no fridge but when asked a mini-fridge was brought up at no extra cost.
-Room was clean.
-It is a boutique hotel but the double queen rooms were not particularly small.
-Queen bed was comfortable.
-Clientele were mostly conference attendees and people of a higher wealth class. There is money here and probably celebs if you pay attention.
-ATT cell service was strong.
-Wifi was strong.
-There is a wine and beer happy hour (free) at 5 and people go ga-ga for it. The wine is $3 Turning Leaf though the beer is decent and the appetizers are quite good.
-The price is fairly high for the area.

Con:
-No dedicated bedside technology ports. If you have longer cords you might be able to use wall outlets.
-No microwave
-The bathroom is very small. Two people will not fit unless one is in the shower.
-The shower handle was loose and occasionally impacted shower temperatures.
-No breakfast.
-Parking is absurdly expensive for Salt Lake City; $24 a night.

I didn't pay for this place so if price is no problem, go for it. If you are looking for value they you need to go elsewhere because there are too many opportunities to be overcharged (eating out, parking) to be considered to strong value.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean, just the right size, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. They allow dogs, which is nice, and even write a welcome sign at the front door with your dog's name on it. They have a great restaurant and lounge. In the evening the lobby has beverages and hors d'oeuvres, they also have tea, coffee, water, and lemonade offered through out the day. Overall our hotel experience was wonderful.
