Nice paved trail/road with bathrooms, picnic tables, fresh drinking water, choke cherries, a creek, even tarantulas! It's quite busy though, with other pedestrians and cyclists.
We love the many trails that take off from City Creek, including The Bonneville Shoreline Trail! Yesterday we hiked 8 miles along both, and even included The State Capitol and downtown SLC!

This is where I took my pugs as puppies to frolic in the creek, hike and play with other dogs. It is right next to the heart of Salt Lake City's downtown and you might even see (hopefully not encounter) a mountain lion. Great place.

You start your journey near Brigham Young Park and make your way following City Creek to the Canyon. It is a nice creek of mountain water that ends in a park in between two high cliffs. Walk up one side to see the Utah State capital and the other side to a neighborhood. Take your camera because there will be plenty to photograph. Dogs playing in the pond, flowers, wildlife, and of course the creek.

We wanted to go to bryce or zion but they were a few hours away, and we drove by this canyon. We had to stop to take pictures because it was such a beautiful view. Everywhere you go in Salt lake city, there is a beautiful view of mountains and lakes.

Take the time to walk ride or drive this part of the city. Salt Lake has an amazing number of parks and open spaces that are popular among residents and this is one of them
