The Hotel is pretty convenient to the new downtown shopping mall and across the street from the Mormon temple. One also can easily access the light rail tram. Was clean and comfortable. After walking around the downtown area, would probably select a different hotel next time visiting Salt Lake City.
Close to the downtown SLC
Easy access in & out
Nice views of city/mountains from north facing rooms
Fridge in room
Parking $15 a day per car
Bed uncomfortable, felt springs through sheets
Numerous stains on carpet
Room looked tired and not cleaned well
Air conditioner extremely loud (hotel provide X1 set of ear plugs!)
Untrained staff and very unfriendly manageress
No USB port for charging
Outdated radio/charger for iPhone
Stayed here for one short night on our way home from Las Vegas. Got a $63 a night rate on Priceline and thought that was a deal until I arrived!
Staff was great upon check and a valet was good at recommending a good place to eat.
However, I didn't know about the $15 parking rate. There is no breakfast included either so the "Priceline deal" wasn't looking so much like a deal. Especially since we have stayed at the Hilton or Sheridan for that price and parking is included.
Room was ok, but you could tell this is an older property. There was also hair on the shower curtain and bathroom floor that wasn't mine, so housekeeping could use to work on their skills! The location wasn't bad if you were visiting the Temple or Vivint Arena, but it was a little bit of a walk to restaurants downtown, especially when it's cold outside. Not sure I would stay here again if I got a cheaper or the same rate somewhere else!
