Whenever we go hiking for a week we love to spend our last night in a very nice hotel where we can soak in a tub, sleep on a super soft bed, have a wonderful dinner, etc. This hotel does not disappoint. It is one of the most beautiful hotels we've ever stayed in. Our room was huge, the bathroom was gorgeous and everything was provided. Outstanding!

Room tip: Choose one with a balcony - the view are incredible!

I had one of the best hotel stays of my life at the Grand America! My suite was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Nightly turndown service was lovely and room service for breakfast was fantastic. My only complaint is that the restaurants and lobby bar all closed relatively early and it took over an hour for one bottle of champagne to be delivered to my room in the evening. Other than that, my stay was indeed grand. I didn't get to experience the spa because I was busy with work but heard from colleagues that it's beautiful and relaxing. Can't wait to return!

Classy hotel but it’s surface deep. Dated room appointments (old flat screens, old furniture) Late night food was terrible (cold, sent back, no apology). Company paid hotel; would never stay here on my own $$.

This hotel can be seen from everywhere in downtown Salt Lake -- with its 24 floors and gorgeous architecture, it is a true gem. Indoor pool access is unfortunately not included, but other than that, this place is perfect for a great stay in the city. The garden plaza in the middle of the hotel gives it extra charm.

The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City is rated as a five-star hotel and once you settle in for one, two or three days and nights, you quickly understand why. And you agree that it is worthy of five stars, like the Drake in Chicago or the Plaza in New York. Located at 555 South Main Street, the 24-story hotel has 775 guest rooms and every amenity you can imagine...restaurant, bar/lounge, fitness center, business center, in-room dining, concierge, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, complimentary wi-fi, underground self parking and valet parking, friendly and attentive staff. We booked a Premier Room on a high floor with 700 square feet of space and a spectacular view of the city and mountains, a sitting room off to the side of the bedroom, king-size bed, glass shower and soaking tub, step-out balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows, large Italian marble bathroom, rich English wood carpeting and flat screen HD TV. Throughout the hotel, in the lobby, in the hallways and in the rooms, there is rich cherry wood Richelieu furniture and original works of art. The Garden Cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Afternoon Tea with live music makes for a relaxing occasion. The hotel also features the Gibson Lounge, Lobby Lounge and La Bonne Vie for pastries, cakes, expresso and their signature macarons. It is so clean and pristine and elegant and comfortable, everything you would expect of a five-star hotel.

Room tip: book a room on a high floor with a step-out balcony and view of the city and mountains
