A little chilly at first, but a beautiful day to wander through the canyon. No oppressive heat like you often find in the summer - snow covered peaks, quiet and relaxing.

Close enough and wonderful scenery. The drive is quite enjoyable and the hiking trails are wonderful.

Each time of the year brings a different beauty, but certainly fall is my favorite. Summer is a good choice too when temperature there is cooler than in the city.

Big Cottonwood Canyon is a wonderful place to visit in all seasons of the year. Great skiing and winter sports. Beautiful mountain flowers in the Spring. An escape from the heat in the summer with fun hikes. Colorful trees and shrubs in the Fall.

Simply wow! The nature is breath taking, the hikes clearly signed, so you can’t get lost if you don’t want to.

Would hate to drive this canyon during the winter if drivers were as crazy then as w hen we visited. Very tight curves, roadside parking, pedestrians, and crazy drivers made this a less than enjoyable trip. The scenery is wonderful, but you wonder if people actually take the time to enjoy it as fast as they drive.
