We went during March so there was only daffodils and a few other flowers. Mainly spent time doing the easy to moderate hike behind the garden. It was a fun, relaxing place. Offered great aerial views of the city. Our hotel had a $1 off coupon in the city attraction brochures.

They had very nice grounds, including a children's garden. You can continue past the gardens and hike on the butte.

We are frequently at Red Butte. In the summer we attend their outdoor concerts on the lawn, which are always memorable. Our kids attend their fantastic summer camps and love exploring nature with the fabulous counselors. We go up to the Gardens to let the kids run around in the Children's area when the weather's nice from spring to late fall. They play in the fountain, play hide and seek in the garden, climb on the statues and find butterflies in the plants. There is always beautiful art on display during the warm months upstairs. The place is a jewel. Now the Natural History Museum is right next door, so this summer we'll be there even more.
