This review is only for the spa at MGM National Harbor.
Good: The spa is new and clean.
Bad: The spa prices are more than true luxury spas in this area like the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton. The MGM spa lacks the ambiance of a 5 star spa. I had a 80 minute massage on a cold table with bright light entering the room and loud Asian inspired music on the speaker. Instead of being relaxed, I counted down to the time for the service to end.
The spa automatically charges a 20% gratuity for spa services. Upon checkout, the woman at the counter didn't even ask if I enjoyed the spa service. The checkout experience was symbolic of the overall experience...cold, sterile transaction with little focus on the customer.More
