Easy access to ABQ airport. Surprisingly good food featuring local fare and local beers on tap. Quiet. Rooms comfortable. Front desk staff was adequate, not as accommodating as other HGI I have visited. Hot tub did not work while I was there.

After arriving at the airport at 8 PM, I called the hotel to request shuttle service. About 10 minutes later we were picked up by a very nice young lady and taken to the hotel, a very short distance away.
We stay at the Hilton Garden Inn El Segundo, Calif. every summer, and have stayed at many other HGI properties elsewhere. Have always been pleased with reasonable prices, friendly service, and small dining/beverage service in lobbies.
At this HGI, which is older, the room had a terrible smell- Room 433. I went down to the front desk to ask for another room, but unfortunately they were sold out, because it was the Albuquerque Balloon Festival week. The maintenance man brought us a bottle of air freshener. and we had to open the window and turn on the fan. Since it was 9:30 PM, we went to the lobby Garden Grille and Bar, and had margaritas and fish tacos. Very good and fresh. Service excellent. So glad they are open until 10:00 PM!
Was dreading trying to sleep in a stinky room- a mixture of smoke, sour, stale air. Had to get up every 30 minutes to spray the air freshener by my bedside. Not enough air was coming in through the window, and there was a lot of street noise early in the morning. Thankfully we were only there for one night. The bathroom was small, and the room could stand to be remodeled.
We decided to order off of the breakfast menu at the Garden Grille. My husband and I had excellent omelettes, and pancakes !! Very important to us- fresh fruit. Cantaloupe, honeydew melon, strawberries, and pineapple. Fresh orange juice!!! Friendly and efficient service. The food was a nice surprise, and convenient, because there are zilch restaurants to walk to, if you don't have a rental car.
The front desk staff promised to put in a "deep clean" service order for Room 433, and hopefully it now smells better. There are nicer hotels that also have airport shuttles, like Parq Central.

We chose the hotel as it was close to the airport and we were coming in very late. It was easy to locate. Most of the parking is found in the parking garage below ground. Although we arrived VERY late, there was someone at the counter to check us in. We had a good room and it was clean and modern. Breakfast is extra ($10 for continental, $15 for full) The service was great.

We were fairly impressed with this destination stay. We were up on one of the higher floors and that may have helped, but I think that in general, this place is fairly quiet overall. It also can have some nice views. The dining area seemed very small and didn't appear to off er anything special to lure those who stay there (i.e. no happy hour and/or special times). Maybe they don't want to encourage rowdiness. At any rate, the rooms are very attractive and large. We had a bedroom area that was separate from the living so that is always a great plus!
