My wife and I stayed here and although the motel is rather ordinary I didn't find it all that bad. While it's true that the walls offer little privacy and the plumbing leaves something to be desired, I found it to be clean and comfortable. It's directly on the beach after you stear around alot of weeds and rubble (I assume that's there to protect from storm surge or whatever), but the beach isn't very nice and coupled with the coldness of northern California along the coast there isn't much to do but walk with your hoodie pulled up. If I'm going to pay for beach front then it should be at a beach that is useable, this one isn't.

This place has great location -- right on a nice beach -- and is NOT cheap. So imagine our surprise at finding the THINNESS walls on the planet. We could hear every word BOTH neighbors said, just talking in regular voices. If they were partiers or having sex it would have definately impacted our trip, our sleep, and my 7 year old daughter!

They should have just hung Indian tapestries to separate the rooms. It would have been JUST as effective and a bit more colorful!! And -- be careful! -- the shower goes from boiling HOT to instantly cold with no warning. No wonder the shower nozzle was pointed toward the wall...

For the price this place is just a rip... and the "continental breakfast" is a bowl of apples and oranges and some instant oatmeal.

Just don't do it. You can find a better place!

The Crescent Beach Motel is really just a typical one story 1950s motel. The rooms were fine & clean. However the best part of staying here is the fact that the rooms open onto a shared deck where you can step out onto the sand and walk to the beach. We would absolutely stay at this motel again.

The location is perfect (right on the beach.) The beds were rock hard, though, so our sleep suffered.

This motel is literally on the beach. You open your back door and the water is 50 feet away. The motel is older but it's clean and comfortable. The walls are a little thin, but overall this was a great place to stay. We knew ahead of time that there was not a typical continental breakfast, but they do serve oatmeal, fruit, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate and that worked out great for us. This was a great place to stay.
